Sisters

It started when Paula texted us all to say she was coming down, lets do something fun. At the very least she wanted to catch a baseball game. Originally these texts included the brother-in-laws as well and it soon got all confusing. Paula’s trip also coincided with the parents 50th wedding anniversary.

Then there was no chatter. A couple weeks later I thought I better open up communications again in case we need time to plan something. At the very least vacation days scheduled.

It was decided that it was sisters only. Cindy already asked for Friday and Monday. Pam was waiting Paula would be here from Wednesday until Monday. I originally said I could pick her up at 5:00 Wednesday but then soon realized it was back to school night on the eve of Hollace’s first day of 8th grade.

Because of my mini-mini sabbatical in July, I didn’t have many vacation days left to spare so I moved things around to get half a day on Thursday and all day Friday. Cindy can take Paula back to the airport on Monday.

So we started the chat up and came up with this:

Wednesday 22nd:
Raleigh picks Paula up from Milwaukee airport at 5:00 (I will be at Hollace’s meet the teachers thing)

Thursday 23rd:
I originally had only a half day off but I turned it into a full day. Do something fun

Friday 24th:
Pam and Cindy come down to Illinois. Depending on when you get here we can go to the Botanical Gardens which is near Ravinia.
Go to Ravinia to see Lyle Lovetts– concert starts at 8:00. We want to get there with enough time to set up our lawn area, some people get pretty fancy with their set up.
Sleep in the camper for a little slumber party ๐Ÿ™‚

Saturday 25th:
Sox game at 6:00
Go to mom’s after game.

Sunday 26th:
Celebrate mom and dad’s 50th anniversary some way, some how. Bring big fucking present (still to be determined) ๐Ÿ˜‰
Spend the night. I was able to take the day off on Monday.

Monday 27th:
Leave mom’s for home whenever.
Pam and Cindy take Paula to the Milwaukee airport for her 5:30 flight

I realized I needed to take all day Thursday and Monday off as well which I managed to do without scarfing from Xmas week.

On Wednesday RAW picks Paula up from the airport while I go to the school with Hollace with her bag of school crap and met the teachers. Hollace was all meh and a true joy (not) but whatever.

On Thursday Paula and I get on the train to go into the city. The weather is beautiful. We spend a considerable amount of time at the Chicago Cultural Center taking pictures of the ceiling. Paula has become somewhat of a shutterbug with her iPhone and Hipstamatic app and on numerous times she wanted me to take pictures of her, she is not apparently camera shy as she “checks in” on FB an posts her pictures.

Friday morning, Paula, RAW and I go for a walk at a forest preserve then get ready for Pam and Cindy to arrive which they did by 1:00.

We then took offย  for the Botanical Gardens and looked at all the pretty growing things. After a couple hours there we hit the grocery store for snacks for Ravinia where we were going to go see Lyle Lovetts. I arranged with Bob from work to park in his driveway and avoid that shuttle bus. He lives slightly less then a mile away so it worked out really good. I was amongst the walkers. That day I logged in 16,500 steps on the FitBit.

That night we all went to the camper to sleep where Paula had a strong adversion to sleeping with anyone (me) so she slept on the camper couch. Pam and Cindy slept together on Hollace’s side.

The next day we went out for breakfast and walked around the mall. At 6:00 that night we were buying tickets to see a Sox game. If that was a Cub’s game (which our original plans were) we wouldn’t of been able to just walk up to the ticket window and buy tickets.

I told them I didn’t want to drive there (I was getting tired of all the driving and I hate driving to events like that) so Cindy drove Pam’s Prius and we headed out. Anyway it was a lovely night for a baseball game. The Sox won and we seen fireworks.

That night we were suppose to go to mom’s to spend the night but no one (especially Paula) wanted to actually sleep there so we decided to go to a hotel. The problem was that we needed to tell mom since I already told her we were coming. I didn’t have the nerve to call her knowing she knew we would be in the area and I couldn’t lie knowing that she probably knew I would be lying. So finally Pam grabbed the phone and called. Sweet Pam lied to our mother telling her we went back to my house after the game which makes no sense.

We made a joke that if we couldn’t find a hotel we would look for a manger so when we got to the Comfort Inn Cindy couldn’t contain her laughter over the fact that the guy at the front desk’s name was Joseph. I then lost it when I read the sign of the manager on duty only I read ‘manager’ and seen ‘manger’

Again Paula slept on the couch and I got the bed to myself.

Sunday was the day I ate exactly what Pam ate. She just lost 50 lbs and while I was inspired, it just worked out that whatever she ate, I ate, starting at Starbucks where we had the same breakfast sandwich with OJ.

We went to mom’s house where we both had a cupcake. We were sorely prepared to do much special for their upcoming anniversary especially since dad couldn’t really go anywhere so we took mom out for lunch. We went to Outback Steakhouse where Pam and I had the same steak and side dishes though I believe she ate more of the Blooming Onion then I did ;-).

We concluded our date with mom by going to the mall where we all were on the hunt for purses (which was what the hunt was when Sherry visited a couple weeks before)

We went back to mom’s house and Pam and I had another cupcake. We then sat around and watched TV until it was after 10:30 and the question on whether we were staying or not came up. Paula certainly didn’t want to stay. I didn’t. Pam said nothing. Cindy who was the driver said she didn’t care. I asked her if she was up to it since it was dark and raining. Whatever. I am sure she would of rather stayed but we all left. I kind of felt bad about that. Dad thought maybe we were getting a hotel and would be back in the morning. Nope. Pam and Cindy stayed in the camper that night while Paula and I slept in the house.

Monday another beautiful day. Aside from Sunday in Indiana we had an unbelievable streak of nice weather. We packed everyone up and headed up to Milwaukee for day running around that town. We obviously had to take two cars now.

We went to the Milwaukee Art Museum though we didn’t really. We parked there and ate lunch there and took lots of pictures of the odd building but didn’t see any of the art inside. It was too beautiful out so we walked along the lake.

Eventually it was time for Paula to get to the airport which I did since it was on my way back home.

It was a nice visit where we actually did stuff instead of just sit around. I always feel like the dorky sister when we all get together but it is what it is, if I am, I am.

Seriously, Lice?

While on vacation Hollace developed a rash on the back of her neck. I just chalked it up to a sensitivity she was exposed to while camping. I wasn’t going to bother tracking it down since it will probably go away after we get back to our element.

It didn’t. Then I suspected a fungal infection with her long hair, showering while camping and leaving her wet hair wet while hot and humid. By this time we had Emma and Sarah over for their annual visit.

I meant to take her into a doctor to get it checked out but with all the festivities with the girls, including a overnight trip to Chicago, it didn’t happen.

On Sunday RAW and Hollace headed out to Fort Wayne while I took the girls back up north. I loaded Hollace up with some anti fungal cream and told RAW to take her into one of those nurses at Walgreens or Redi-Med if her rash got worse.

The next day, Monday, while at Farm Camp a councelor said it was LICE. Just wash with some special shampoo and you should be good. Or at least how it sounded from RAW. Lice isn’t that easy to get rid of that I knew of. This was our first time dealing with it and with Hollace’s long long hair, it wasn’t going to be pretty.

I texted Cindy about the lice and she then found a few lice on Emma and some nits on Sarah. Oh joy, we have an infestation. Do I have it? Probably but there is no one to check my head. I bought some Rid and sprayed the furniture and washed everything but I still don’t know contained they are. I don’t itch but that doesn’t mean anything.

Today I bought a RobiComb that zap the buggers from your head. It got pretty good reviews. I think between my severe dandruff and a sweaty head I am throwing the comb a bunch of stuff to generate false positives and this after I put the insecticide shampoo on the night before. Either that or I am so invested it is ridiculous. I haven’t seen a sucker yet. I tried the comb later when I wasn’t feeling so damp in the hairline and it seemed to be ok.

Sherry is suppose to come tonight for our girl weekend. I can’t say for sure if we are clean over here. I told her to text me before she left (she is still at work) and I will give her the 411.

Vacation part 2

After the week in Wisconsin, I went to work on Monday and Tuesday. The next day was July 4th. The weather was HOT! RAW went up to Crown Point before we did because he was going to leave earlier to go to his mom’s to deal with that broken AC. The only problem is that her power was still out. They promised to have it on by the 4th. Turns out that at 3:00 p.m., the electricity finally did come on.

The forecast for that day and the next couple after was for 102 and humid and pretty much unbearable. At mom’s we all sat in the dining room until we ate then off to the back yard for us. After dinner, us adults still sat in the yard while all the kids sat in the air conditioned family room.

Because 4th of July was on a Wednesday, Cindy had to work the next day. I took off Thursday and Friday like Pam but I wasn’t planning on staying over night especially because I had plans for the girls. Pam was doing the Mammie transfer.

Thursday was just as hot but I had reservations for a hotel in Chicago. It was going to be a horrendously hot day to be running around Chicago but plans were plans. We can take a late train in since we are staying over night.

The hotel called asking if we wanted to upgrade our room to a suite but I thought the room size was pretty nice the last time so I passed. The problem was this room wasn’t like thhe last time, it was small and blah. I should of upgraded.

While on the train Sarah, I and the lady behind us noticed a woman who was bundled in layers, wearing a winter coat and hat. And Sarah says goggles. Remember it was 102 degrees.

Once in Chicago we jumping the first cab in the line outside of Union Station. All 4 of us crammed in the back seat and told the elderly Korean man where we needed to go. He said we probably want AC and turned it on.

As we approached our hotel on Michigan Ave during rush hour the driver failed to go for awhile after the rest of the traffic already left. I think he fell asleep. No one honked so maybe it was worse then it seemed.

For dinner we went to Viand which is the restaurant in the hotel we usually go to (and one we will go to from now on). The only thing on the menu that sounded good to all of us was ravioli with red wine reduction.

I thought it was good but the red wine reduction was kind of grape jam like and the girls didn’t like the sweetness.

Back at the hotel the girls were getting goofy and I blamed the red wine reduction ๐Ÿ˜‰

After goofiness, we walked around the city eventually ending up at the John Hancock building where we went to the top to see the city at night. Sarah didn’t like it much being so high so we didnt’ stay as long as we might of.

The temperature at 10 at night was 91 and the humidity was oppressive, ug.

The next morning I work up the girls in order to get the free breakfast buffet before they closed at 10:00 a.m.

By checkout time we were back on the hot streets of Chicago heading for the Art Institute. Because it was so hot I didn’t want to walk so we took a bus. i guess the hilight of the trip was that Sarah got to stand on a moving bus.

There was a long line outside of the Art Institute in the baking sun but as we approached it, the guy said we could go around the building to the other entrance where there was no line which we gladly did. This time I remembered my Abbott employment which meant we got in for free.

After walking around there for a couple hours, we went across the street to Bennigan’s for lunch/dinner. After that we got on the bus and headed back to the train.

While the officially high temperature that day was 103, there was a slight cooling on Michigan Ave like all the AC of the stores was leaking onto the street. When we got off the train back home at 5:15, we were nearly blown away with the heat.

Sarah picked up a small cactus, the non prickly kind while at Walgreen’s. It was unique and apparantly looked like hooves so she named it Hooves. Later after we were home investigating it on the internet to find out what it was, we found a blog entry by a woman who bought the same thing and named it Hooves. Too funny.

Saturday we hung around. Hollace had a rash on her neck that appeared while were camping right after her shower. I am thinking it is fungal and was going to take her to the immediate care but didn’t. I had some anti-fungal cream we put it on but we ran out of time to take her in before she headed out to Fort Wayne on Sunday. I told RAW to put the cream on and monitor it.

Saturday we went to Barnes and Noble (actually two of them) for Sarah and then to Steak and Shake because the girls have never been. We came home and Sarah made some Soda Bread since Hollace loves the bread.

Sunday I took the girls back up to Wisconsin at our half way meeting point while Hollace and RAW headed to Fort Wayne so she could go to Farm Camp.

I just got an update of Hollace’s first day and apparently the rash on her neck is LICE! They told her to go to Walgreens to get some stuff, put her hat on the dashboard of the hot car and see ya tomorrow. I don’t know. I hope it is as easy as this so she doesn’t miss camp this week. They didn’t seem to be concerned.

Vacation 2012

As usual I didn’t feel like doing anything. I knew if I would just sit down and doodle it out I would get on board for vacation and plan something fun.

I knew I didn’t want to go far and I knew I wanted to be by a city to visit a museum or two, kind of an urban camp trip.

I finally came up with Madison Wisconsin for our trip. Madison is a lovely city I have never had the pleasure to visit. The Dells were close by and nice state parks to camp in.

I also toyed with the idea of just Hollace and I take the AmTrak train to see Paula in Baltimore. I guess one of my prime objectives was for Hollace to really enjoy herself and our last trip out to Paula’s ranks as Hollace’s favorite vacation. I was planning on taking mom along since she has never been out there. Actually it was kind of her idea on the Amtrak. I didn’t want to drive out by myself nor did I think that was a good use of our vacation and I felt like I was too fat to fly out. I went to investigate train tickets for that week but couldn’t find sleeper cars available which was part of the adventure for me going Amtrak. I didn’t want to spend 18 hours sleeping in a seat.

I finally decided we should do this next year so I can get a proper reservation. Of course I knew RAW would be jealous of the train so we figured he would ride along and he rent a car to visit his relatives in North Carolina.

I felt bad when I commented on FaceBook on a photo of Baltimore of Paula’s telling her that next year we hope to come out. She comes back with “not next year, next week”. She then says she will pay extra if I can make it work with in the next 4 weeks. ๐Ÿ™

So Wisconsin it is for this year!

Saturday June 23

That weekend was Sarah’s high school graduation party so Hollace and I headed up to Manitowoc to celebrate. The party was held at a bowling party. Cousin Donna and her family came up. It has been awhile since I seen them. Her husband Steve asked me if I wanted to do a logo for his side business.

We ended up staying the night. I went off to Sherry’s and of course Hollace stayed with Emma. Sherry and I walked 90 minutes that night just for the exercise. While it wasn’t hot there it was humid and when I came back I was shocked to see my hair so frizzy and curly.

I went back to Cindy’s to hang out the next day. In a phone call, RAW mentioned that we should bring Emma with us on vacation so we did. We left Manitowoc at 3:00 for home.

Monday June 25

Monday morning we all headed out to Devil’s Lake SP. I was monitoring the weather forecast for the week and everything was looking good temperature wise until that weekend when all of a sudden the whole week was now mid 90s with Thursday’s forecast to be 102!

We get to Devil’s Lake without a camping reservation which isn’t really a good idea even when it isn’t a weekend because on 25% of Wisconsin’s are electric and even less are first come first serve. They only had 4 sites that we could have for only one night. If we come back Tuesday at 8:30 we can see if we can get one of four first come first serve sites.

Site 109 for the night was a lovely wooded site. We enjoyed the campsite while the girls dug a hole and made mud. They had fun that wasn’t connected to electronics which was important.

Of our options for the rest of the week we were hoping that site 7 wouldn’t extend their visit. All the available or hopefully available options were in the sunny side. Site 7 had a tree that could give us shade so we hoped for that.

Tuesday June 26

The next morning at 8:30 we drove past it and seen it was now vacant so we rushed up to the office and booked it. That tree we liked for shade ended up being more entertaining then originally thought when the girls climbed it and practically lived in it, reading.

After we loosely packed everything up and set everything back up on site 7, we headed out to The Dells. It is the water park capital but that wasn’t our objective. I wanted to walk around town and take a Duck ride. The weather wasn’t too hot yet so it was a good time. When I was a kid we rode the ducks and it was cold and miserable so I was looking to change that perception. The weather was perfect and it was a nice ride albeit expensive. Over $100 for the four of us. I know if was that expensive in the ’70s for our family of 6 I double I would of had that miserable experience.

On our way back to camp we hit the Walmart. You know there is at least one Walmart or similar big box store visits on our trips. This was the only trip the whole week.

Wednesday June 27

A visit to the big city of Madison was in order. It was much hotter now thanking God for working AC in the truck and the camper. While in Madison we visited the Museum of Contemporary Art and the State Capitol building. Was hoping to hook up with Shelley from BYB but that didn’t pan out. It was just too hot so eventually we left back for the camp site.

Thursday June 28

This was the day they originally forcasted to be 102. They backed off on that forecast a bit but it was still hot. I had planned for that day a visit to the Cave of the Mounds where the temperature is a consistent 50. I say good planning don’t you think? While at the camp site I just hung in the ACed camper and chilled and caught up on my reading. I finished up 50 Shades of Gray. Not really a good book to chill out to but whatever.

By 7:30 it cooled off so much that I actually went into the camper to warm up after venturing out.

I was was always checking on the weather for Fort Wayne where Dorothy was with a broken AC. Their temperature that day was 106!

Friday June 29

Dorothy’s 89th birthday! RAW keeps getting himself frustrated trying to call his mom. She can’t hear her cell phone and has trouble making calls. We finally get her on the phone to wish her a happy birthday. We debated on extending our trip one more night but it is just too hot and besides there were lots of loose planners like ourselves anxiously waiting for those 4 first come sites to open up for the weekend.

On the drive home Dorothy called to report that a big storm just went through and she had no power. We find out later that a 91 MPH gust went through Fort Wayne. It was reminiscent of our vacation last year when a similar gust hit our area. Mom said they had a good storm the night before with a good rain (we are in drought). Only our house didn’t get any storm or rain.

We get home at 5:30. Vacation is officially over.

I have Emma here until the weekend after the holiday. On July 5th I plan on taking Emma and Sarah (and of course Hollace) to stay in a hotel in Chicago where the whole entire week is again forecasted to be middle 90s. I am already sick of this summer.

will it stick?

In my life I haven’t gone on too many serious or real diets even though I desparately needed to. The 2 times in the past I did I did lose weight. The first time I lost 90 lbs. then the next 10 years I slowly gained it all back. A few years ago I joined WW and lost 23 lbs. I did their points but gave up after I got tired of the people in the meetings, they really just cared about finding fake food substitutes to keep their points down so they can drink more beer.

The rest of the time I gain, and gain, and gain with no real attempt at a “diet”. I try to eat right, I know what I need to do but then I forget or something and gorge out or something. Seriously pathetic.

Earlier this year I had a physical where my health numbers were up. The cholesterol was ok but the blood pressure was up as well as my sugar. First time up and the doctor was ready to call me pre-diabetic. She wanted me to come back in in 3 months for a follow up.

So on May 2 I went in and was shocked to learn I gained 9 lbs in 3 months! Fortunately the sugar number that labeled me as pre-diabetic was down so I was off the hook for the meds she was going to prescribe.

When I got home I downloaded an app on my iPhone called myfitnesspal and got serious. I set my goal to lose 2 lbs a week and started tracking everything I put in my mouth.

I found out that as long as I stopped the mindless eating, what I would typically eat in a day was pretty close to what I should be eating calorie wise.

I am now 3 weeks into the program and I have lost…wait for it…11.2 lbs! Only a 111 lbs to go but if I can keep up the control I seem to have with this app and I keep losing, I can so do this. I also know it will get harder as I have to lower my calorie goal as I get lighter but lets take baby steps and be happy for my progress so far.

Life as a homebody hermit

That title is kind of redundant isn’t it? Today is Mother’s Day, a beautiful 70ยฐ sunny day. RAW is in Indiana doing what he does in Indiana and of course spending time with his mom. I was ok with him going this weekend so it was just me and Hollace. Her gift to me (I guess) is a hug first thing this morning and one when she went to bed. She is not a huggy girl so I guess that was my gift. She told me her gift was really not to be annoying like she was last night. She said it, not I. I guess the gift was also her not squacking too much about putting her clean clothes away and emptying the dishwasher. Hey, I just remembered she didn’t clean the litter box–hrmph.

Like I said earlier, it was a beautiful day. I felt guilt about not embracing that and spending the day outside. We aren’t outside people or rather I’m not. Hollace would tell you she isn’t either but I am sure she learns from example. I just wanted to stay in and do those artsy projects I’m always wanting to do and to read and to learn Cinema 4D and to write and to just chill. None of those are outside projects. I wanted to sit at my analog desk and dream.

I really hate nice weather days because of this. The pressure of normal people going out to enjoy it yet I don’t want to.

Around 5:00 I told Hollace to get on her shoes, lets go for a walk…outside. That took 30 minutes, then while we were out I hit the grocery for some eggs. Then we were back home. I talked to the neighbor for a short bit and then went back in to stay. There are some weekends (weather good or bad) where we never leave the house.

I made my pretty room/studio and now I want to stay in there only I’m not staying in there. I’m on the couch playing Words With Friends and reading. Last night we watched a couple episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and watched Little House of Horrors then the night was pretty much over. Hollace caught her second wind at 10:30 after she announced she was going to bed. She was up for another hour or so being goofy and annoying (not really, her word). I did want her to go to bed so I could go in the studio and watch some Lynda.com tutorials. I finally did at midnight and fell fast asleep in my chair.

Sorry I am being all scattered with this post. Just getting it all out for posterity.

Last Thursday we all went to the movie theater to see a live (by sattellite) showing of This American Life. It was a good show. Hollace just mention tonight that she thought that was cool.

I am taking a good stab at dieting again. I found an app that seems to deal with some of the issues I have with mindfulness. It is fairly easy to track my eating with and sets goals that so far aren’t too hard. I think I have lost 5 lbs so far. We will see tomorrow when I officially weight in. I ended today with 265 calories to spare. Wish me luck. I need to lose 125 lbs.

If only I would go outside and take a walk.

Oh I am good…

at avoiding learning Cinema 4D. So far in lieu of doing those darn tutorials, I have

  1. made a night shade for my bright alarm clock (at least that is on the list I can check off)
  2. came up with a new photo project
  3. trouble shot my ailing printer (not again!)
  4. sent some old magazines to the recycling bin
  5. stood in the garage listening to the rain
  6. sorted the bin the tutorial book resided (at least the book is now on the desk)
  7. print a photo for a birthday present over a week away
  8. figured out Hollace’s activities for the summer (I still need to check my vacation schedule to see how some of this will fit)
  9. wrote in this blog complaining

What is left on the list that I know of that will get in the way?

  1. help Hollace start her art project for school
  2. read the numerous books I downloaded to the iPad
  3. make something for dinner
  4. eat the hard boiled egg I started carrying around
  5. get on the treadmill and watch some Netflix (some scary “don’t eat that crap” movie I need to see”)
  6. MadMen is on tonight

Introducing the new room!

I see my previous mention of the room was when things were still in disarray. It is now done, or at least 95% done. It’s nice, I like. Well worth the trauma.

I just don’t get me

Seriously if I really want to focus and concentrate on something specific, why do I load up my Kindle and iBooks with lots of books to read? When was I planning on reading them let alone do all the tutorials I want to do and learn 3d. When I have the time do I read any? Or learn something? Or do something creative? Nope, I get on Facebook like I have a nervous tick.

I guess this all applies to my eating too…. Just to show you how easy I go off track. Right after I wrote that eating sentence, I had an urge to turn on the TV and put on Netflix to watch one of those scary food supply movies (Food Inc, Forks Over Knives, Food Matters, Fat Heads, etc). I almost stopped what I was writing just now and turned my attention to the TV. Seriously.

Back to the eating thought if I can even remember where I was going with it. Uh, yeah, ah, I know I need to lose 120 lbs but for some reason I keep forgetting and eating with reckless abandon adding to my size. I am now officially the biggest ever, congratulations me! Ug.

This week I tried to take a picture of myself to show how long my hair had gotten….off track I went again, this time was for me to learn meditation so I can focus……….oh, I have 3 emails I haven’t read yet….oh a reply on Twitter from Kelly, got to reply back…..oh hi Cloudy, what are you getting into?….What was I saying again?

Oh yes the self portrait. I was having a hard time trying to take one of those magical photos where I don’t think I look like I have a weight problem–remember I am fooled easy enough and am convinced no one else just looking at my photo can tell, will they ever be surprised when they see me in person! My face in the photo was looking older and fatter then I am use to shooting. I finally shot something acceptable and posted it on Facebook with the preface that I am old and fat (which I am, but the point being I couldn’t fake it enough in the photo and felt compelled to share).

I got the nicest of comments telling me I wasn’t fat and old and that I was pretty. I was embarrassed. I should of left that fat and old comment in my head and not verbalized that to all my peeps on FB. I got my hair cut the next day, 4″.

AfterThat night still styled by the hairdresser, I go to shoot myself with the new do. I had an easier time, nice pointy chin instead of a double one (trying to get all that hair in the shot the night before was what was tripping me up). Again lots of comments and Likes. Aww geez folks, thanks but now I feel like I am one of those attention seeking bimbos but people wanted to see the final result. Hmmm, I thought I had a point or a stronger conclusion of this little story but I guess not. No matter, this whole little story is a derailment from what I came here to discuss….FOCUS.

Tonight out of the blue knowing I have 8 books, 4 magazines, 5 tutorial online videos (and 10 Word with Friends games, hey scratch that, doesn’t figure in the equasion) I put Netflix on and watch the very first episode of Mad Med because I couldn’t remember it. There ate 45 minutes of some good reading time. And why am I loading up on the reading, I just fall asleep anyway!

Tomorrow is a busy day. We are going to eMagination day camp open house to see if it is worth it to spend the mucho bucks to have them teach Hollace Flash. Then we rush to the library 45 minutes away for a class on drawing Manga faces. That class is 90 minutes long and I am already planning on finding a nice chair there and catch up on some reading. Or my sleep. I hope I don’t snore in the library.

Room update

still undone and it is still driving me crazy. RAW is working too slow. The other day his task was to either paint the molding white or buy new molding already white. What did I find after a long day at work? RAW stripping the old paint on the old molding. Why? That put everything back a day-what a waste. Now the molding is in place and I have had to nag him to get the window molding up because I can’t fill my bookcases until then. Again, he spends a whole day messing around with something and it still isn’t done and it looks like crap. And for some reason he is painting the sills white too which I am not happy with.

Last night he was trying to get the treadmill back in the room and it wasn’t working. I was trapped in here for an hour while he messed around and cursed it. He didn’t want to hear any suggestions from me.

For the most part it is time for me to start putting everything away and I don’t know how to make it all fit, a bit overwhelming. My spirits were brighten a bit when I found the rugs I want, was able to get my speaker to stop buzzing and the internet to speed up. I have yet to figure out where to put the printer and stand. I knew it was going to be tight where it was planned and I was right.

Next up is to get the old big cabinet out of here again (I bought a smaller one), construct new cabinet, put up curtains, install TV on the wall. I sure hope all those can be done and concluded tomorrow.

Sorry for the rambling rant but writing it out here will go a long way to chilling me out.
