Not only did Forks get in, it won an award! Friday night was the show reception and where I found out I won a CLC purchase award which means they are buying my picture for their collection. I am not in it for the money really but I should of priced it higher. Of all the art that got in, I was second to the lowest in what I rated it at. I alway just slap on $200 not expecting anyone to buy anything, they just require it for insurance reasons. Of course why not put $500 if I am not expecting anything then? I sure didn’t expect CLC to buy it. I guess I don’t have to go pick it up when the show is over now do I?
One thing I forgot about selling work through the gallery (and gallery) is their commission so when I got home and looked at the check, I was taken aback for a short bit by the fact the check was for only $130! Oh well, it is $130 I didn’t have for a picture that was really only a walk by with my iPhone at the Bed Bath and Beyond!
JoAnn and Mark and Deb came out for the opening. That was nice.
